Rules and Regulation for Gracelawn Section
- All monuments and markers shall be in line on west line of the lots as originally laid out.
- No monument or marker shall be erected on a single lot if its width exceeds thirty inches (30"), (government soldiers marker excepted), or erected on two or more grave lots if the width of said monument or marker is more than sixty percent (60%) of the frontage of lots, based on the size of the lot or lots at the time of original sale thereof. Flush markers may be placed on the grave lot or lots in addition to the markers or monuments which extend above the ground.
- All foundations must have a four inches (4") wash around the monuments.
- Flowers may be planted up to sixteen inches (16") on the east side the length of monument only not to extend beyond the width of the monument. No plantings will be allowed on the sides of the monument.
- Items not allowed: aggregate; gravel; borders; bricks; glass; fencing; trellises; peonies; rose bushes; shrubberies of any kind; artificial lawn or garden ornaments, such as artificial animals; potteries; statues, ect.. Ornaments which constitute nuisances to proper maintaining of the cemetery grounds may be removed by the cemetery staff.
- Artificial flower arrangements (top mount only) are permitted.
- The City reserves the right to remove old flowers that are not maintained.
- No mausoleums will be erected in the Gracelawn Section of Oak Hill Cemetery.
- Spring cleanup is conducted in March of every year.
- The City is not responsible for vandalism or theft.
